All BIG JIM MOTORS have remagnetized cans (done of my hand-made "Saiko" zapper), dynamically zero drill-balanced armatures (I never add weight to an armature) and precision trued commutators. All brush hoods are aligned, the armature is centered in the can, carefully assembled and completely broken-in and dyno tested and tuned. The brush compounds are selected by me for the particular wind and use of the motor. All armatures are wound hemi, layer-pattern style. This yields more power and rpm by limiting the necessary amount of balancing correction. All the poles have identical windings. Also, my one-wire-at-a-time technique is not used for production by anyone else, that I know of. I doubt if most winders will ever learn this technique. All prices subject to change without notice.
